Gsg-5 / ptr-91

Do you guys think that the GSG-5 would be a close enough .22 training platform for the PTR-91. It seems to me that the ergonomics and sights should be pretty similar. Any advice would be great.

I don't have one but from the reviews and word of mouth, it is a very good training platform for the MP-5 as everything is made to simulate the feel and some aftermarket parts are interchangeable.

PTR91= G3 clone.

So, no, not quite.

You can buy G3 conversions for about the same price as a GSG5

Well, as far as training on it, the G3 is just a bigger, heavier version but the slam bolt is the same as is the crappy rotary sight.

I'd just buy the 22 kit for the G3.
