Well, at least there's no rail. :)

Whoever they are, I hope they do well. Some of the "old guard" producers could use a "wake up" call.

Put it this way: They're a new kid on the block, but they aren't inexperienced.

And yes, I think they got the word ... :D

The Word

Methinks that it COULD be...Sturm, Ruger and Company...
Let us furiously hope that they see fit to use a proper internal extractor
and will co-introduce an entry-level "Mil-Spec" pistol for the workin' stiffs
and the folks amongst us who like and/or prefer that class of sidearm.

With Ruger owning an extremely popular casting business (Pine Tree), I can't see them outsourcing castings from Caspian...?

Particularly since Caspian gets their frames from Ruger's Pine Tree foundry. (See Caspian Website where it says, "All critical dimensions are machined to exacting specifications on our preheat treated blanks cast by Ruger's Pine Tree Foundry.")

One great possibility that leapt to my mind was that Glock Inc. had bought the rights to the Alchemy Spectre transmogrification that was marketed a few years back. Looked like the love child of a Glock and a 1911, but was a pretty neat little package by itself.

........but then I realized that there was no way that Glock was going to produce anythign without a rail on it.

Since Bill Z is in Augusta,
And it's in his back yard,
the only things that leap to my mind are
Glock,
HK,
and FN's plant in the Carolinas( I forget which one it was in,and I am assuming it is still there now that the M16 contract is done?).

So,am I even close Bill Z?
I promise,if you PM me,I can keep a secret,ha ha! ;)

Close geographically? Yes

Otherwise? No

Sorry for the tease guys, it wasn't meant to be that way.
