"A foggy morning. Barney, Dr. Hutton & I cleaned guns. I have 14 rifles and almost as many handguns & they were all in need of oiling & cleaning. Then the fog began lifting about lunch time & I decided to ride...."

From the Friday, August 14, 1987 entry in the diary of President Ronald W. Reagan, "The Reagan Diaries", page 526.

Dang, I miss Ronnie!

The Reagan Ranch is now owned (I believe) by the Young America's Foundation, a youth conservative group. I've never been there, but they do tours for donors. I wonder if any bits of said collection are on display?

I wonder what it will be like to read Obama's diary...

"Well, today I turned the USA into a socialist state and took away all individual and states' rights. I can't wait to find out what I can do with 306,710,426 slaves. Good thing I took away all their guns last week - or my plan might have failed!
Next week: Invite Osama Bin Laden over for lunch."

Obama can't take our rights

Right you are. No one can without our permission. Even as individuals. They may kill us, but the can't take our rights without our consent. You're choice where you draw the line.

Pretty sure old Ronnie was 'OSS' long ago, and remained 'connected' thereafter, as most did...

There was a lot more to him than the public image.

This may be worth thinking about...even if one likes the image...or, depending on one's interests, anyway...
