Bought new 204 model 10 savage predator series. There is barrel break in procedure. Will a boar snake do it or is a cleaning rod better.

You will need a cleaning rod and some copper solvent sooner or later.

Eventually jacket fouling will rear it's ugly head.

Bore snakes are good for getting the dust out.
    Not much else.

Bore snakes get real old, real fast. Buy a cleaning rod.

And I'd be especially concerned with breaking one off in a .204 bore.
