What are you involved with in your shooting as you will have a few choices.
some are expensive and some require a wait to get into and some if you travel a little you can get in right away.
Are you interested in rifle, shotgun or pistol. Are you interested in competitions or just want to go out and have fun?
I take it you are at Carson by the name you post under. Email me and we can chat about it. I work at evans.

Hello tank mechanic

I'm also New to the Colorado Springs/Fort Carson area,we just moved here from Fort Hood,TX.

There are quit a few members on this forum that live around Colorado Springs/Fort Carson area.

Shoot me a PM and I'll give you the list I was given by the members of this forum.

If you didn't know you can use Range 19 (I believe it's # 19) 300 meters,You have to go to Range Control and Read a Little Book and they give you a card saying you can sign it out to shoot on.

My Wife has rights to use it (Range Card) and if you want let me know and we'll go some time.

Post I made awhile back:"With Links"

Whistling Pines

I belong to Whistling Pines. I like it. The atmosphere is good...not the you-need-to-be-a-lumberjack-to-fit-in-here type of place. Its clean, professional, and convenient (online reservation system).

They sell guns but the prices are not so good that you dont shop around. I am buying an AR15 soon but won't do it with them as prices other places are better.

They have a gunsmith on-site. Dont know of the quality of the work. They do seem knowledgeable enough.

They have 10 lanes of 25 yard (maybe meters). You can shoot about anything except black powder firearms (fouls filtration system).

If you shoot once a month it pays for itself. Dues are like $25 a month but when you shoot you can stay as long as you want. Range time is free. I think it's worth it.
