I turned 60 today, and I must have been a good boy last year because I raked in a record haul of nice shooting-related gifts.
Top of the list is a Romanian Mosin M44 carbine -- in great shape, just needing an original buttplate to replace that aftermarket rubber thing the previous owner installed. No photos yet -- still have to pay off the balance and do the paperwork next week.
I also got my wife's permission to buy a new replacement stock for my Enfield P-14 earlier this month (described in another posting). And all of this was topped off this morning with a very welcome selection of books about historic single-shot rifles:
That Martini-Henry title looks to be a particularly good read. Plus I've a Sportsman's Warehouse gift card for some ammo! My 7th decade is starting off with a nice warm fuzzy feeling.
