The "what we do for a living" thread was pretty interesting and very diverse. I was wondering what other hobbies some of us have besides firearms. I know alot on here already like to make fun of a couple of mine but here they are...

I collect action figures, comics, porcelin animation related firgurines/statues, Swarovski crystal, knives, Alaskan pottery and most anything Warner Bros. or Disney related. I also enjoy hiking, bowling, stand up comedy and tennis. I am also an avid Sci-Fi fan. Yes, I am a geek...but a very handsome one. At least my mom says so.

There, let the needling commence. :D

I feel like I am on Match.com

here is a laundry list:

Aviation, interest that is work related...
Weather, interest that is work related...

Cars, more specifically American Muscle cars. Workin on a '74 Vette and love my daily driver a 2003 Mustang GT. I love cars with V8's! :D

getting into RC helicopters at the moment as well....

i also like planting stuff....Tomatoes, Pepper Plants, Flowers :p i like yard work etc...it's a peaceful, zen thing to me.

Whisky/Whiskey and Beer...i love the stuff so much, that i constantly have to keep myself and check. Good food as well, i like to cook.

Western Movies and Playstation 2.

above all else, spending time with my Mutt, my best friend :)

You mean besides work, family and shooting? Oh, the usual. Hunting and fishing. Snowboarding. And I play in a rock & roll band.

I am into cars too. Trucks also, currently its a 84 chevy 3/4 ton that i am converting over to 78 sheetmetal. otherwise its homebrewing, snowboarding, and fishing and lifting weights. hunting too

Working out, replacing parts in my 84 Dodge D100 pickup "Gertrude", and raising large arthropods: Emperor scorpions, giant african millipedes and madagaskar hissing cockroaches. I'm lucky to have an unusually tolerant wife.:)

Outside of the shooting sports realm?

Canoe'ing, fishing, motorcycling, RC's (nitro 1/10th & 1/8th scale on & off road), in the winter I like to do a bit of military modeling (various scales) to help keep myself busy.

I guess I also like remodeling the house too, as I always have a home-improvement project ongoing.

Raising Saanen dairy goats, making cheese , wine and beer. Raising chickens. Gardening, going to concerts, backpacking, that's about all I have time for.

Amateur astronomy. I love the night sky, and I couldn't live in a place where it doesn't get dark. Naked eye, binocular, or telescope.

Well, I am a car guy at heart, but dont have any "toys" at the moment.

I spend my hobby time between THR and radioreference.com, which is a Scanner/HAM enthusiast site. I am just into listening to my scanner, a Radio Shack Pro-97

Any activity involving my Grandson. Fishing and hunting are a big part. I also love antiques such as furniture, depression glass (I collect Cobalt Blue/ Moderntone) and old fishing lures. I like drinking different good quality beers with my friends.

I turned 21 loast September, whenever work, or a slow day at the range will allow you'll find me either in the bar, driving around aimlessly (I think I'll claim Shell and Mobil on my 1040, as they depend on my income), telling tall tales, driving around aimlessly, playing on the internet, driving around aimlessly, or driving around aimlessly. Between driving for my company, and driving for myself, I put on about 1,500 miles a week. I spend almost as much time waiting for the guys down at Jiffy Lube to change my car's oil as I do shooting:what:

Let's see. Two gun owners in our household--my wife and I.

My wife is a poet, has an IQ in the mid-130's, has a B.A. in English, studies Russian history and culture for fun, and is a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (http://www.sca.org/). She shoots a beautiful 1952 Tula SKS and a Glock 26.

I am a bespectacled, goatee-wearing, Gen-X physics and literature geek. I love studying astrophysics, high-energy physics, planetary science, and aviation/aerospace. I also have a B.A. and some graduate work in English and literary criticism; play the guitar, work on my own car (now a supercharged Buick Park Avenue Ultra, since my lil' Toyota got totaled in January); enjoy small boat sailing, though my little handbuilt daysailer is currently laid up in need of repair; and Xbox (mostly Halo) whenever I can reasonably do so. I shoot a SAR-1 (civvie AK-47 lookalike), a mini-14, and a S&W 3913 Ladysmith, and am licensed to CCW.

We also happen to be the parents of two wonderful kids, age 7 and 5.

To support my firearm addiction, I restore and refinish classic sports cars. Been doing it for over 25 years....each gun represents another car that's passed through the driveway. Nickname "Rembrandt the Painter" was hung on me by a client. Other hobbies include woodworking, wood carving, metal art sculpture, and hunting. Here's a couple before and after pics. Takes about 6-9 months to do a restoration.

Aside from science (work inspired), woodworking, weight lifting and biking are my other hobbies. My wife doesn't mind she reaps the benefits of the woodworking. :D

well, lemme see...

I build custom sporterized Mausers... shut up - they are showpieces, not "bubbaized"

I restored (completely, from a burned out, but # matching wreck) a real 1970 Plymouth Hemi'Cuda convertible... I did it all except installing the top... it wins shows...

I am a fairly accomplised airplane pilot. all ratings except passenger. i fly an old Champ, set up for acrobatics... was 60 horse, now it's 120, reinforced airframe, fuel injection... the fun stuff... I am even rated for the whirley-birds, though i do not enjoy flying them much...

i am a master draftsman, autocad is my specialty... with a good helping of engineering mixed in...

I own, build, and drive off road vehicles and racecars, and enjoy all manner of speed... and the building of vehicles for these persuits...

I ride motorcycles. got 3 now...

I play Bass, Piano, Trumpet, and a few other instruments...

and of course, I buy guns, and shoot them as much as possible...

BUT... most of all, i like spending time with my GF, whom I hope to make my wife soon... I am thinking that if this happens, I'll be giving up some of my more dangerous hobbies... but i'll keep the cars, guns, and instruments...

Edited to add hunting, fishing, and camping... facilitated by my 4x4's and guns...

I'm boreing. I work mostly. Extra stuff is photography (film, no digital...yet), a little gardening, a little leather craft, lost wax castings. boreing. a little reloading also.
Mark.

I build my own computers and play games on them. This is my current monstrosity. Triple monitors (one extended desktop across all three), 2GB RAM, stupid amounts of horsepower, and a video card that cost as much as some decent firearms.

I also spend a lot of time in the summer paddling around on kayaks and boats. Sometimes I accompany this activity with smallmouth bass and trout fishing. Occasionally I even catch something.

Other than that, I noodle around on a guitar occasionally, tinker with motorcycles some, oh - and I spend a lot of time farting around with recurve bows. Every once in a great while I'll kill something with one.

besides guns,

I hunt, ice fish, play guitar and am learning harmonica, I enjoy movies and video games, and my favorite hobby drinking.

Hunting Deer and Turkey, Martial Arts (have a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do Karate:D ), USPSA and IDPA, geneology, coin collecting, American History
