I expect various bans and high taxes to be enacted on ammunition, so I'm stocking up on reloading components. Ir's possible that registration could be required for large component purchases in the future, and I want to remain "under the radar".
I've already collected enough cases from my local range to last me for the rest of my life, and I'm well set on reloading equipment.
I've standardized on powder, IMR #4895 for all rifle from .223 Rem up through 8-mm Mauser (can also use it for light bullet loads in 300 Win Mag), and Win #231 for all handgun from 9-mm Luger up through .45 Colt. Reloader 22 works for the magnum rifles.
Besides shopping bargains on bullets, I'm acquiring cast bullet molds for my commonly used rifles and pistols, as well as gas checks, lead, and wheel weights which I obtain from my local scrap metals dealer. (Tried to buy the wheelweights from my local Big O tire company, but they won't do it. Will look for other tire companies...) Still need to get several more bullet dies for my lubri-sizer, and perhaps I should lay in a stock of lubes also...
Any other ideas, or suggestions?
