This could be the opportunity you have been looking for but please read through the qualifications and understand these are not suggestions before you make that call.

Bullet Hole Shooting Range in San Antonio Texas(around 1604 and Highway 90) is looking for a full time employee. Bullet Hole understands that many of the gun shops and gun ranges of America have a reputation among people for lack of customer service and a friendly attitude. Someone considering employment at the Bullet Hole must know and practice every day, every time our unyielding philosophy and commitment to the customer, who is our most valuable asset. We are honored that our customers have chosen to do business with us and as an employee of the Bullet Hole you must be able to incorporate this truth in how you conduct yourself.

The Bullet Hole has recently undergone a radical transformation and continues to do so. It is truly a dynamic range with features to suit and handle almost all the needs of the shooting enthusiast. With The only 300 yard rifle range in San Antonio, Pistol Range, Special Events Range, Carbine Range, Hogans Alley Range, Bianchi Plate Range, CHL range and dedicated IDPA/IPSC ranges (Yes these are all seperate bays. As well as a Shoot House under construction for indoors and MOUT style training. All Bays are or will soon have cover for the shooters or spectators. (The dinky office building is now dinky squared as it has been expanded)

The Bullet Hole is also a full line gun dealer to include Class III weapons. Both sales and rentals.

As an Employee of the Bullet Hole you will be working with a wonderful group of people in a friendly environment.

A relaxed but professional appearance.

You must be 21.

Have a clean criminal record.

Be able to lift heavy loads and work outdoors.

Have a good knowledge of Firearms.

Be people friendly and be able to always respect the customer.

Have enough sense to know this is an environment that requires constant attention to safety and have the ability to treat a customer with respect when a correction needs to be made.

Have the ability to deal with our valued customers in an honest and fair manner. Leave your ego at home and bring your knowledge....if you know the difference between those two, you might be the right person for the job.

Now for what you will do....

This is a 40 hour a week Monday through Friday Job.

You will be responsible for:

The manning of the office, To include: Answering the Phone, Stocking product, Checking in customers, Firearms sales and any other needs a customer may have.

The Bullet Hole holds many shoots each week. You will, on occasion run these shoots.

You will, on occasion act in the capacity of Range Master.

And (For some "YEEE HAAA") you will, on occasion be the person who surpervises/instructs the rental customers, this includes a great selection of Class III weapons.

To deal with those customers who are creating a safety hazard or are violating the rules. Even these customers will be treated with respect but sometimes an authorative position must be assumed.

All in all, it is a blast, You get your run of a great gun range. You get to drive the Kawi Mule all over the place. You get to shoot Machine Guns and you get to spend your days with some great people just like you who have a passion for shooting. If you can run a Bobcat and a Backhoe, you might get to do that as well.

Of course the question "HOW MUCH" well....not much but it isnt minimum and with your proven track record as a member of the Bullet Hole team, it will be recognized (Read, you stick around and do a good job, we will pay you more).

If this interests you and you are a good match, Call Michele at the Bullet Hole Wednesday through Sunday from @ Noon to 8ish. 210-679-6781

Wish I lived closer to San Antonio... However, I will be down there for the first weekend in October (7-10). You don't need a temporary chaplain, do you? :D

A man of the cloth is always welcome and respected. However :D We aready have a range Rabbi. Does that count?

More than minimum wage, huh? I'm not sure I can pay you that much, but I'd be willing to make a go of it. Sorry, but I got lost at the "heavy lifting" part-my back's not too good. :( But I'm pretty good at getting other people to lift. Does that count?

OTOH, if you hire me, we'll be that much closer to a minyan. :D

A minyan has happened at the range :)

(When was the last time you saw this on the firing line) (Me and a friend)

The heavy lifting is not an all the time thing, but shipments of Ammo are not light and need to be stacked...and sometimes the only "Other people" are you and Eliahu HaNavi, and he wont drink that wine, so I dont think he will help you lift those boxes.

Not good safety proceedure to stand there with your finger on the Kel-Tec's trigger is it?

Always nice to see another GTY (Gun-totin' Yid) on The High Road. Welcome!

I'd apply, but the daily commute from Minneapolis would be quite a haul. :(

AmYisraelChai,

I'm not able to put in for the position at this time, but I wanted to thank you for running the Bullet Hole. I've been up there several times, it's the only public range in the San Antonio area that I've found that allows machineguns. Having a range that's open all week at reasonable hours where I can go to try fixes/new ammo/etc., is great, and it's much better than waiting until a formal mg shoot to do your testing (since that can lead to lots of silence and frantic work from your line spot). ;)

Range

If you open a range like that in the DFW area I'll donate my time!

Looks like he's pointing that Kel-Tec at his friends foot? But I could be wrong.

help wanted

How much extra do I get to take care of Cujo? And I am still going to beat you at the pin shoots.

Cujo care is a full time job in its self. :D Everyone seems to whoop on me at the pin shoots. I think I have won once in the last 6 months. I would recomend making sure you are there on 3 gun night or Hogans Alley night, I do much better at taking top spot on the pecking order in those events. ;)

Anyone shoot the knock down steel shoots there on the 3rd thursday? I've shot the last three and was wondering if we have shot together. I was there for the Sept shoot. Would be interested in working there if it was part time or at least not on the exact opposite side of town.

The Position has yet to be filled and I would like to remind people that today would be a great day to call if you are interested.

I would also like to thank those who have come to the range and said they have seen these posts. The Internet is such a powerful tool.

(Gillster...Are you fast revolver guy that has been comming out as of late?)

Amazing how heavy a case of .45 is, isn't it?

Do not know if your shop is looking to expand but Albuquerque could really use a shop with frendly, helpful, and knowledgable staff.

A good selection of combat pistols and rifles would not hurt either.

And I could guarantee all the part time and full time employees you could ever possibly want. :D

If I ever find myself in the neighborhood I will have to stop by, sounds like a very nice shop! :)

AmYisraelChai, yeah, I guess that's me. I prefer to shoot revolvers anyway. Were you at the shoot in July? Are any of the other Thursday night shoots any fun? I've shot pins before, what's the stroy behind the Hogan's Alley or the 3 gun shoot? Do I need to dust of a bottom feeder for those? Feel free to pm me if I'm hijacking your thread.

Chris

Well, as you can imagine, I am at most of the shoots. I win a good percent of them except when you are there. (Except the Bowling pins they have not been good to me in a while)

I think all the shoots are fun, Trigger time and great people, what more could one ask for. Hogans alley is a course of fire I for one love as it is about super fast shooting at tactical sized targets(Paper, Plates, Poppers, sometimes doubletaps and sometimes moving targets) as opposed to super accurate shooting or static shooting. The three gun is like hogans alley but with the use of Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun all in the same run. The course of fire changes each month. For those, a revolver is not always competitive.

As far as the July shoot, I think that is when you and I had to go man on man for "A" class champ. I got you on the first one...which probably means you had a malfunction but you proceeded to school me on the next two runs.

Gillster, I am pretty sure that I have met you at Mr G. F.'s range in Bulverde.
I shoot my revolver on the 1st Sunday at this range. It is a 6 shot N-frame .44 Special with iron sights. I'm not very good with it but at least it is not a safe queen. I am the one that always snivels about dot sights."How can you miss? Where is the challenge? Real men shoot iron sights."

Just wanted to clarify a few things and change the parameters a bit based on some common questions we have been getting.

You dont have to have any prior experience. Although, it would be helpful, if you have a good head on your shoulders and a good eye for safety, it wont take you long to learn. You do not have to have any instructor ratings or credentials. Sound firearms knowledge and a people friendly attitude is a good start.

Also, because of the nature of the response, This Job may get split into two or three part time positions. If doing this on a part time basis would interest you and this would include Weekends now, please call(Today would be a great day to do so, up until 8PM)

Pistolero, I remember shooting with you I think. I usually shoot the first sat. steel match. Were you at the Sept falling plate match? I'm hoping to come out and try the Hogan's alley match this month, maybe one of the weekend steel matches. See ya around.
