gun-related names for boys?

may be OT, but could use some ideas. Got a baby on the way and the wife thinks it's a boy. We have a girl name but she hates all my suggestions for boys.

Glock! :D But seriously, Smith or Remington are possibilities. Of your list , I prefer Colt.

And congratulations on the new baby. That is always a joy. :)
 
A friend named his son Shiloh,used to tell him his parents named him after a rifle. Every time I said that his mother would give me the evil eye.
 
Remington and you could call him Remy for short. Or Makarov and call him Mak for short.

I have a friend named Winchester who goes by "Win."

If your last name happens to be "Smith" naming him LC would be excellent.

"Stevens" would work, but might not obvious enough as gun related.

How about "Smith Wesson" xxxx?

"Marlin" could work, though the name could be mistaken for the fish.

"John Browning," maybe?

"John Ross" (as in Unintended Consequences) might slip under the wife radar. Or maybe "Henry Bowman."

"Tom Knapp" might also get by her.
 
Mauser could be a good boy or girls name.
Walther is doable but might be easier if you chop it down to Walter.
 
This makes me think of a guy I knew years back. First name "Thomas," middle name "Colt."

His parents had originally planned to pin four monikers in front of the surname: Thomas Magnum Colt Seavers.

"Henry" and "Remington" seem like good options to me.
 
Not gun related.... but the men in my family have their first and middle names taken form famous generals or admirals....

i.e.

George Washington Smith
Robert Lee Jones
Bernard Montgomery Cook
George Patton Ward
Sam Houston Walters
Andrew Jackson Jones


I think it's a good tradition :)

We can be gun related without saddling the poor kid with a cutesy name. Most of your ideas have a more usual masculine name component. You would know, we would know, the left liberal grammar school teacher would not.

John Moses - also brother Matthew Sandefur and son Val Allen Browning I doubt Sandefur would do well these days.

You get the idea. Everybody in the gun business has a first name that you could use for little .1 K per day and nobody but us gun nuts would appreciate it. As it probably should be.

Recent kids of my acquaintance include Levi (so biblical gun industry folks like Matthew, Samuel, Daniel), Baxter, Henry (as in B. Tyler), and Jack (not short for John, just Jack, as in Reacher.)
 
If Mannlicher is out you could go with Kimber. How about Cooper, Westley, or Parker? I got, you could name him Bushmaster.
