Hi everyone. As we all know there is a conservative revolution going on in America today and I'd like to see added to the platform the need for a gun rights clarification amendment to the constitution. We amended the constitution for all kinds of things in the past. Why are wasting time waiting for the next court case so we can hope we have enough justices on our side, who believe in what the framers intended? I wanted to do this when we had power under the first term of dubya but I couldn't get traction on it. Can we get Rush, Sean, Glenn on our cause do you think? Any ideas how we could do that? I am at a loss, but I feel that is is essential. There will be a backlash from the Obama mess and we will probably get back into power. I don't want the republican politicians to blow it this time. If we get the issue on the table now we can have it in the discussions by the 10 elections and for sure for 12. I know the states would pass it on a pure vote. Gun control doesn't work. It is racist and it is not what the framers of the constitution envisioned. -ph@ga

I'm not sure it would make any difference, other than to give the anti-gun people the added argument that the second Amendment doesn't really give us the right to bear arms otherwise we wouldn't be trying to amend it!

It'll never happen, and there is absolutely no need for it.

Your post is highly political, which is discouraged here. You might want to edit it down quite a bit or watch it get locked up.

I don't see anyone around here whose more on the ball with this whole Constitution thing than the Founding Fathers. Any attempt to "fix" the current will merely be fodder for lawyers.

If you have a thoroughly thought out plan for undertaking activism to move your idea forward, then consider starting a thread in the activism forum.

However, as this isn't really a post dealing with any sort of actual plan (no direction, no phone numbers, websites, email addresses, or fax numbers listed) it's really nothing more than political day dreaming.
