Does anyone of a pic of their gun room or a plan for one. I am going to build one in my basement and am looking for ideas.

Good call. I'll be building one of these on our next house, as well. Looking forward to seeing some pics, too.

I'm currently planning a combination gun & trophy room. One of the ideas is to incorporate a hidden panel/door to the gun room. (Hopefully to be completed in 2007). A false bookcase doubles as a safe door.

Here's a web site that has some fabulous ideas for gun rooms....(if money is no object)

Safari-Press has a series of books on Great Hunters & their Trophy Rooms...many serve dual purpose as gun rooms. Without question the finest and most elaborate gun rooms I've ever seen.

Of course Cabela's Gun Libraries are pretty classy....

you can

do it without breaking the bank. hiding the door in the back of a closet can help. and use one of the stanley pocket door kits to make a sliding wall

Does Cabela allow us to check out guns like a library checks out books?:p

Yes....but you need the "American Express" Platnum or Gold Library card.

Actually, I know a guy who has a secret door like that bookcase one. It's pretty cool.

Guys, let's be careful about posting info here. Ideas are good, but there are Net-savvy BG's, and we don't wanna give them any intel we don't have to. Any number o' shooters get knocked-over for their irons because of poor information-security protocols...

Don't worry about the BGs getting any intel from the Julian and Sons site.

Those rooms look awesome but the site is so slow, it'd take the BGs years to d/l all the pictures and learn anything from them.

I guess for some businesses, quality work and good word of mouth among the rich beats a fast web host for advertising.
