Let's see your gun tinkering ideas....something you wanted but couldn't find in the marketplace. Post a photo if possible...

Here's mine,
Dan Wesson .22 revolver with unique custom scope mount. Since DW pistols have a removeable barrel shroud, bought an extra shroud, had part of the rib machined off for Warne quick release bases. This allows the scope to be removed in seconds to use open sights, no sight obstruction. In seconds the Warne rings and scope can be reinstalled to perfect zero. If I want the gun restored to original condition, simply put the original unmodified barrel shroud back on. Although I haven't done it yet, the mount allows for multiple scopes to be interchanged...dot, crosshair, etc.

Not something I've already built, but an idea I'm thinking on.

Start with single-shot JC Higgins .22 (crank bolt w/ pull knob cocking piece); generally $80-90 in pawn shops.

1- knock rear sight out of dovetail. Install Williams FP w/ target knobs.

2- add QD swivels + swivel for bipod.

3- (this is the iffyest part) maybe epoxy bed barreled action.

What I'm after is a sort of accurized version of what I learned on. My biggest question is whether bedding this barreled action will help any or create headaches. Any thoughts?

I've never made it, but someone else might: the front sight is the upper half of a circle, and the fully adjustable rear sight is the lower. Line 'em up. Point. Pull trigger. Hit target.

What could be simpler?
