Good question! I think I did alright as I was really only buying the Dan Wesson (it was used and missing a few items but nothing major), to help out a friend of a friend. At the time I wasn't all that familiar with the Dan Wesson design having way more experience with Colt, Ruger, and S&W revolvers. And then I got more into semi-autos so away went the Dan Wesson and enter the Gold Cup. I enjoyed target shooting with the Gold Cup for a number of years but it was very finicky about what particular ammo it liked and didn't like and eventually I sold it to fund something else. I certainly got my money's worth out of it and if I had held onto either gun, I think both would have been fairly equal in terms of their current value.
Looking back now, how do you think you did? That’s a tough call. Both are near top of the line for their respective genre of firearm.
