I just sold my first gun online and was wondering... other then making sure that I send it to a licensed FFL dealer, what do I need to do? The gun is registered to me here in Nevada, so do I need to let the authorities know that I no longer have it, or does that get taken care of by the transfer?

Also, can I just send it UPS or USPS myself or do I need to have a dealer send it for me?

thanks ahead of time

You should probably contact Clark County law enforcement about what you have to do since the gun is registered there.

All you need in my state is a copy of the FFL that you sent it to and the make, model, and serial number of the gun,.

But I am not 100% sure since it is registered in Clark County.

I am not sure why you would want to send it to yourself since you sold the gun. I believe your best bet to sell it would be FedEx or UPS. I dont believe USPS will accept it for transport unless you have an FFL.

If it's a handgun it has to go via a common carrier (FedEx or UPS). If it's a rifle or shotgun it can go via USPS, FedEx or UPS.

I can't help you with the Nevada part of your question.
