Gun used in SD, non lethal. Kinda funny

Quoted from the link above,
"I just leaned forward and punched him in the forehead with my gun," she said. The man "screamed like a girl and almost dropped his gun"

I would say +1 for the good guys or girls.

From the way I am reading it, it looks like he got in the car with the gun already out and she then pulled hers out, reaches over into his grappling range, and touches him in the head. If someone has that much of a drop on me.. I'm going to give them the car (well... until they try to scoot over, its a stick and not easy to maneuver in). She has more spine than I do.

He was probably holding it sideways.;)

PISTOL WHIPPED!

The cool factor on this one is hovering near 10!

How many people can say they've pistol whipped a carjacker? You read the article and this guy has 1) fled from a guy with a toddler, 2) been frightened off by a screaming woman, and 3) screams like a girl when PISTOL WHIPPED!

I think he definately needs some career counseling.

"Mr. Carjacker? Yes...ummm...You need to find a different line of work. Your poor victim choice skills and inability to even appear like you have a set, lead me to believe that you are better suited to something along the lines of interior decoration or something in the textile industry. Due to your lack of intimidation skills, your penchant for "screaming like a girl", and general inability to frighten victims, or what we call "lack of street-cred", I'm afraid we're ging to have to let you go. You are going to have to get PISTOL WHIPPED somewhere else now."

I don’t want to be the one to rain on the parade but she should have had her doors locked. I’m not saying I disagree with her reaction (you go girl!!!!!) but she could have avoided the incident altogether by simply locking her doors

+1

I always lock my doors when I am in the car no matter where Im at. But this is funny, got punched with a pistol. LMAO!!! This is a perfect example of what ammo shortages turn into.

Me thinks maybe something was up with the Suspect's own gun. Either it wasn't loaded or he didn't know how to use it. Don't get me wrong, Adrianna did well. However, why the guy didn't shoot her is surprising given that he had a gun pressed into her.

I think she was a bit lucky, and the perp was a bit unprepared.

I'm not criticizing; a happy ending is above reproach.

Yes, car doors should be locked unless entering or exiting. Don't all cars do this when the transmission is in 'drive'? I thought that was "standard" for the last ten years or so...

Don't want to hijack, but my last two cars, 97 diamante, and 07 sebring locked the doors once I reached 15 mph. My inlaw's suv locks it when you put it in drive and unlocks it when it is put in park. my moms 03 eclipse, brother's 03 audi do not lock automatically either.

I also think something was up with the suspect's gun.
