Gunpowder cartridges in my smokeless guns or a dedicated gun?

At least I'm somewhere, no matter where I am. Although, my favorite place is the middle of nowhere. Can I get there from nowhere?

If you clean it you won't regret shooting it. You don't have to strip it completely down however you do have to submerge it in soapy water for a few minutes. I remove the cylinder and grips on my Uberti/Cimmaron. I drop it in a sink full of hot soapy water. I swish the action around good and set aside to drain while I clean the cylinder. After the bore is clean I spray the insides out thoroughly with WD-40 and then again with Rem Oil. Petroleum based lubes are ok inside the action because it doesn't get the heat of combustion it takes to make the fouling hard.
I've never dunked a cartridge revolver in soapy water and I fire hundreds or thousands a year shooting CAS. Windex or water down the bore and the cylinder in the under some running water. A few brushes followed by Ballistol patches and water and wipe down everything with ballistol on a rag. Been years since I've torn down my guns completely. Once an action job is done and greased up good inside they run and run.

Dunking probably isn't necessary but I don't even tear mine down once a year anymore so I like to be thorough.

my take is that is a good excuse to get another revolver, and then you can use and practice with it and see how it work and go from there.

50 people will have 50 different ways of cleaning a revolver.
Shooting Black Powder just requires a good cleaning after, as does any other powders.

I've reloaded smokeless for some time. I'm contemplating loading some cartridges with gunpowder (black powder). Should I plan to fire these in my 357 New Vaquero, or should I think about getting another gun for gunpowder?
If you decide to go this route would like to know your recipe including bullet type.
