I recently took a trip out to Las Vegas for the 2004 SHOT show. I had my Glock 36 along in a locked case in one of my checked bags. On the way back, I declared my firearm to the ticket agent and she asked me to show it to her. A little taken aback, I unzipped my gigantic suitcase and fished out my guncase. I undid the lock and opened it up. Lying there was my magazine-less 36 along with two mags, a tactical folder, a surefire flashlight, and a full box of .45 ACP.
The look on her face was priceless. She looked at my little Glock as if it was the first gun she had ever seen. As if it might fire by itself. According to Northwest Airline regulations, she was supposed to verify that it was unloaded. I don't think she had any idea how to do this.
She just gave me this look of disgust and told me to close up the case.
Just wondering if anyone else out there has any good airlines related stories.
