Ah, te 1911. We'll have Kimber, Springfield, and S&W (with its new 1911) on the show. We have a Marine sniper doing his thing. That was fun. On one hilltop (in California), shooting across the vally (high winds) to targets on the other side. 500+ yards. .308 Winchester. Blowing away cinder blocks. Very cool.
There's even a little submachinegun action.
The .458 Lott is a MAGNUM handful, but Craig Boddington tells how to handle it.
Of course, there's the .500 S&W. A collector specializing in .44 Magnum S&W revolvers let me shoot his earliest version (before they were called the Model 29).
Winchester short magnums, .17 Hornady Rimfire, shotgun tips, muzzleloading stuff, and even ATVs. It moves fast. Jim Baker has the legislative angle covered.
I also think the studio segments are among the best I've seen for outdoor shows. If you look quickly, you'll see my custom .257 Roberts (it's the georgous left-handed Rem. 700) go by.
We worked our tails off, but the results were worth it.
Still looking for suggestions for things to include in next year's show.
