All of the Colt SAA's I've had over the years and foolishly traded off. The 4 3/4" nickel 44 spl most, the 12" 45 next, the 7 1/2" nickel 44 spl next,...

I sure wish I'd kept the first 1886 Winchester I had, a heavy barrel that had originally been a 40-something cal, and had been rebored to 45-70. It had extra fancy grade wood also. Also miss the last original 1886 I had, a 33 WCF, shotgun butt, full mag 24" round barrel.

...and the Colt .22 Diamondback.

And the Colt Woodsman Match Target.

My lever action rifles that I sold off when I left Australia to come back to the U.S. I think the ones I miss the most are my 1893 Marlin .38/55, & the three 1895 Winchesters in .30/40 Krag (Flatside), .303 British, & .405 WCF. In handguns, my main regrets are a 1970s Colt Detective Special, & a S&W .38 Safety Hammerless (Lemon-squeezer).
I was back in Australia a few years back & got to shoot my old Marlin again.......ahh, good times!

So how about you? What's the one gun you've sold that
you wish you had back?

All of them, including my old Craig.

I've sold four guns in my life, though my oldest brother got the bulk of my father's collection and lost them one way or another.

The four I sold were, a vintage Craig, a Model 700 30-06, a Taurus model 85, and a reproduction flintlock that my other brother gave me to cover a loan I'd made him.

I don't care how broke I get, I am not selling any more firearms. I wish I had never sold those that are now gone.

Both of these bought new:

Uzi "A" Model semi-auto; bought it new in 1981, sold it a couple of years later to pay the rent.:banghead::banghead:

S&W Model 625 .45 ACP revolver, w/ 3" barrel, "Model Of 1989" - held onto this one for 10 years before selling it for rent money.:fire::fire:

Never a regret. When I've decided to sell some off it has been thought over and once they a gone, that's it. Sort of like having a estate sale early.

FWIW:

Well, don't know how this fits the theme of the thread, but I can show you the first pistol I ever owned because I still have it.

I bought this Galesi 25cal. pos in the summer of 1966. I was between semesters of one of the colleges I eventually flunked out of, and was working as an "Asst. Manager*" for a small finance Co. in Dublin, Ga. (Southern Discount actually). I felt the need for a little protection and I had little money, so I got just what I paid for. I paid $35 for this little sucker, NIB.. In 1966 it never managed to run thru a full magazine without hanging up, and if you shot it today you'd still find it has that bad habit, here 40+ years later.

Actually what I WANTED was a neat used Colt Cobra for sale at a small store near our home, but the Colt was $65, and I only had $35..:barf:

Anyway, I eventually got my merde' straight, and over the ensuing decades I had (or have) some pretty nice pistols/revolvers.. Not collectibles you understand, as I shoot any firearm I own.. Just neat old guns, like HK P7's, and of course a couple of old Cobra's. :) (And a DS)..

Still I keep the little Galesi around if for nothing else than to remind me my life has been extremely blessed since I paid $35 hard earned bucks for the little SNS..

Best Wishes,

Jesse
