Thats it. Thats the only gun that is guaranteed a spot in my range bag when I go to the range. More commonly, but not every single time are my:
Ruger MkII (just a plain jane, normal looking MkII)
Ruger P90 (.45acp)
Ruger 10/22
SKS
Taurus 85, P99, 24/7 (.357 mag and 9mm's, respectively)
S&W Model 10 in .38
Finally, one last gun that actually would go with me everytime but has been down because the rear sight has fallen out is a H&R Sportsman 999, which is my favorite .22 revo of all time.
A G30 is my primary carry,I therefore shoot it the most, but I always, always carry my old G19 and shoot it also.
An old airweight snub is also always deeply concealed, though I don't always fire it. But it's always there and well hidden.I just don't trust anybody these days.
Lots of pistols are mentioned in earlier posts. For me and my son, though, we find ourselves taking one of our M1 Garands just about every time we go to the range. Something about that "ping" when the clip is empty...
This has always been a personal point of contention with myself. I've even gone out to the range on my motorcycle just to limit the amount of heat I could pack!
I try to pick 2 pistols and 2 rifles or a rifle and shotgun and leave the rest behind. Less to clean when done...
Usually take:
G29 & S&W 610
M14 and Marlin Camp 9 or 10/22
Sometimes end up toting nearly all, then spend 2 days cleaning.
By going to the range I am assuming you mean that it gets shot there as well. I have my CCW that goes to the range everytime but doesn't get shot everytime. My S&W 642 is always with me but it doesn't get shot everytime.
The only gun that seems to go with me everytime and gets shoty every time is my beloved Bersa 23 .22lr. It is smaller than a Ruger MKII but holds just as many rounds. It is also accurate enough to really hit smaller targets with. It is the perfect combo of accuracy, size and capacity. I use it mostly for training because it has a DA/SA trigger like on my Beretta and S&W centerfire pistols. It is one of the best .22lr trainers that I have found besides the drop in kits.
Heck, I have some that have NEVER been too the range~! Two
new ones in particular, the Springfield XD .45ACP and the Les Baer
Thunder Ranch Special. Hopefully, that is 'bout to change.
