So, is anyone familiar with any good gunsmiths in central Florida, more specifically around Volusia county?
The reason I ask is that I a few weeks back I took out my Winchester '94 (1971 vintage) to the range and tried to verify my zero for the upcoming season. Why I say tried is that I was consistently getting light strikes. By consistently I mean I tried to fire 6 rounds and none were set off at all. All the rifle did was make a little ring on the primer, kinda looks like an earring. It kinda freaked me out so I packed it up for the day after that.
I suspect that it's the firing pin that's gone kaput, but I have no idea how to take down a '94. And, even if I did I could replace the firing pin but there could be other parts that could be defective.
Anyways it would be much appreciated if someone could help me out on this one.
