Guppy Belly 40S&W cases, use or lose? = done

this whole Glock Bulge/Belly Buster thing is new to me

Glock changed the chamber sometime during Gen3. The cases from my G4s have a slightly-noticeable bulge. The G2s are still out there, and I routinely toss anything that looks like Forrest R's pictures - those are truly horrific.

I'm sending ~200 MHS to OP.

... I "hoover" the range because I dislike my shoe rolling on a case while I'm aiming.

Why is it trickier than other rimless straight wall pistol cases? Maybe I got lucky. I started with 40S&W when I got my XL650 and have never has any issues. After a minor tweak to my sizing die I don't even have a problem with "Glocked" brass.
for me, it’s problematic! I try to be consistent and bust the bulge, then crimp it and stuff.

Glock was not the only pistol that had poorly supported barrels Which is why they are so reliable and do not clog up and jam.

My SW Shield 9mm was poorly supported and would bulge heavy 9mm loads. I wrote Hornady and Starline about it and sent them brass. Tiz why there is a warning on Starlines website about it. It was with their 135 grain Critical Duty. Hornady was using Starline brass when they first made the ammo.

When in doubt throw it out!!

That is exactly what I had, only a bigger belly, and the line along the upper edge of the belly stayed even after the bulge was swaged down.

Well all the opinions here mirrored my thoughts about this subject. Those cases will never see powder dropped into them. I may use them for dummy loads for setting up dies for different bullets.
Thanks to all for your input!!!

lets everyone send OP some .40 brass!

message sent!

I don't have a 40S&W myself so a whole lot of extra is not necessary. I am just loading up some practice ammo for my nephew.
Had some questionable brass and wanted opinions.
Thanks all for your responses!

Don't even do that! I can't think of anything you could use a defective case for when dialing in your dies.

Get a jug, bucket whatever, label it "Bad Brass" and get used to the idea of throwing bad cartridges out.

Setting OAL seating depth for a particular bullet. I have about 5 different bullets of various weights and shapes. The cases measure fine for size, I was questioning their integrity under pressure.
