Guy shooting tire and it explodes

Lets set aside the fact that the guys in the other thread were the ones who supposedly made the video, and they said exactly what they did.

Well I have seen some split rim tires come apart in the maintenece shop for 2 1/2 & 5 ton military vehicles. What they dont do is kick up an instantaneous cloud of dust up from the ground in a 40 foot diameter around the target. Like a grenade does, or like this did. Sure they kick up dust around them, but it generally goes along with the way the rim or tire is bursting. This cloud is symetrical and instant. In the slow-mo you can see the pressure wave rolling out from the target. And way to big for the tire to do it alone.

I've also heard of (morons) who would shoot a little starting fluid (ether) on/in to a tire that wouldn't seat the bead on the rim, then ignite it with a tossed match. Seemed to make things all-better (!)

Seen a lot of tires set that way. Wouldn't call the people that did it "morons" either. It works.
