O.K. I think I've shown enough patence here.

I paid $139 for 9 USGI 30 rounders over a month ago. Nothing has arrived.

I've sent about 6 emails, I've called and left about 12 voice mail messages. The email address that they tell you to send corrispondence to about the mags just creates a return to sender. Now im starting to get mad.

Unfortunately its over a month so I cant make a fraud claim with PayPal; Who else should I call?:fire:

Can you dispute the charges with the credit card company that your PayPal account is linked to?

That site doesn't seem to have been updated since early 2002.

Check Paypal... see if your payment was ever picked up. I'm thinking that you sent money based on an obsolete page.

it's possible the owner is out of the country

i've met Adam Firestone
he has a regular job with a beltway defense contractor in VA

Always, without fail, use a CC or Postal Money Order for internet and mail orders. Both can be easily disputed when fraud happens.

Caveat Emptor folks.

Did they VERIFY that mags were currently available?

I bought some from them, and it went like this.

I sent an email....asking if they had some.

They sent an email...saying yes....

I ordered them...they shipped them....

But these guys are NOT a store per se.....they get mags from time to time.

And they are not great communicators...but they are not crooks either

I did business with Adam Firestone a few years back and it took FOREVER. He does travel a lot, but he should eventually get back to you.

I've done business with Adam too. Good guy, always took care of me.

BUT ... always be sure you get in contact with him before you order. It's rare in my experience that he has stock on hand. Usually, he'll get a load of mags in, take orders and then ship them out.

By the way, what were you thinking when you actually gave up your checking account number to PayPal and thus the rest of the world? At least with a credit card you can dispute it.

I’ve met and dealt with Adam from Cruffler’s. He’s a decent guy, but overwhelmed a bit by the traffic the site deals with. He does travel a lot for work, so that might explain his lack of response. (Not excuse, just explain.)

As for pay pal, no way I’ll deal with them again.

I had a bunch of misc stuff to sell four years ago, so I set up ebay / paypal accounts to engage in the transactions. I went to my bank, and had them set up an account routing number for deposit only, WD by confirmed exception. (Same actual account as my normal account, just a different number to access.)

Did my sales, got my money, all was well. Then, there were a series of attempted overseas withdrawals from deposit only account. Well, the only ones authorized for the number were 1) me, 2) my bank and 3) paypal.

Paypal wouldn’t investigate or own up. Their position was that since no actual loss had occurred, it was not their problem to investigate. Never mind the fact that one of their customers bank account numbers had somehow wound up in the hands of a crook, probably from their system.

I canceled the paypal, the account number and ebay account for good measure.

So much for the electronic marketplace.

Something my wife and I did was to use my Debit card for Paypal. The card is a VISA and they'll give you 100% of your money back. I've been hoodwinked a couple of times now on EBAY and getting my money back was no problem once I got VISA involved. I hate doing buisness with Paypal and EBAY, but its the cheapest place to buy kids clothes and unfortunately I need all the savings I can find.

ShaiVong,

Sorry to hear about your transaction problems, it always sucks when you find a good place to shop or a reputable person to do buisness with and then you have hangups like this. It always makes me think ***, I know this guy has a good reputation, why the hell would he jeopardize it?
