H&k mp7a1

It's HK. So it's very doubtful.

I doubt their will be any clones either since HK is pretty protective of their designs, I image if anyone made a clone HK would attempt to sue them for doing it.

They gave gave us a civilian version of the USC and it has a thumbhole stock and is limited to 10 round mags, same story with the SL8 the civilian version of the G36.

That's what I respect about FN, they are not afraid to to give us decent looking civilian versions of their military rifles, SCAR, PS90, FS2k...

What about getting an original FA version?
The H&K MP-7A1 is a post-'86 MG. So, it is only available to FFL/SOT dealers and Law Enforcement/Government/Military agencies.

On a side note...
H&K recently made a deal with Umarex (people who make airsoft and make the Colt M4 .22LR) to make semi-auto only civilian legal clones of the G36, MP5 and MP7A1.

Got a link to share?

Does anyone know if they make a semi-auto version and if so where can I find one?

Even if there were a semi auto version, it would be considered an SBR. Not going to be the easiest gun to get as an "MP7gery" . . .

Well I'm wondering why the HK hates us, it seems to show up in every thread

I do know that they went after GSG so I wouldn't look for a good copy anytime soon

personally I find their guns ugly just don't like the look of those I am familiar with.

Alright so hypotheticaly someone goes through the rigourous training of becoming a LEO then the day after they become one they buy an MP7A1 then quit. Do they have an obligation to get rid of it? Or if they buy anything under that restriction for that matter.

Agency =/= officer. Probably couldn't buy one is my understanding.

Class 3 remains the property of the agency, not the officer if it is a post 86. Purchased by the agency, for agency use, possibly "issued" to an individual officer, but when they leave the department, the weapon stays there.

copaup is correct.

isnt the ammo for it illegal considering it penetrates body armor?
I wouldn't think so as the FN 5.7X28 is for penetrating body armor, and as far as I know armor piercing rounds for any firearm aren't illegal.

The ammo is not illegal.
But, H&K (company policy) will not sell it to civilians.

However, Fiocchi makes "civilian legal" (40gr FMJ) ammo for it. Costs around $0.50 a round.
They started making it, so that third party vendors (mostly FFL/SOT making suppressors) could have ammo to test their products, because H&K would not sell their ammo to non-government agencies.

1. Yes, they do
2. Your best bet is British military police barracks - British MP's are major buyers for SA-only HK G36 SA, MP5 SA and MP7 SA

Need some proof? Here you are.

Midway had the ammo in stock not long ago.....odd I thought

its not HK......its the US laws that wont let come in in a semi long barrel or pistol version(which is the only way it would make it)
