Most of the threads on the P30 are a few years old, so I thought I'd toss in an updated one.
I just bought and put through its paces a P30 today. Admittedly, I'm a Glock and revolver man but I have a personal need for the features and functionality of a DA/SA semi with a decocker.
None of the praise for the H&K P30 is hyperbolic. For me, it's the best fitting (ergonomically speaking) most beautiful fit and finish duty semi auto in the world. In stock configuration, it's incredibly accurate with rapid sight acquisition. Admittedly, after carrying a G17 as my EDC for years, it's easy to be impressed with a more accurate gun. But ergos and sight acquisition (and of course tighter tolerances) make a truly useful and functional difference, even at basic self defense distances (7-15 yards).
No need for me to blabber on. The P30 is a fantastic gun. And yes, it is worth the extra money.
