H&r 1871

For the past year or two I've been logging on to H&R Talk, an internet forum primarily for owners/users of H&R Handi Rifles.

Today H&R announced that it is dropping the forum permanently because of "administrative and technical reasons."

The forum had been a regular feature of H&R 1871 LLC. Any one got a clue as to why such drastic action was taken? I do know that some posters had taken advantage of H&R's forum by posting stuff about Rossi rifles, but not to any great extent.

Probably something to do with the purchase of H&R/NEF by Marlin.

They are removing Marlin Talk from the site as well. There is a Yahoo group named nef-singleshot dedicated to the discussion of NEF\H&R rifles and shotguns.

I am SAD. It was one of the sites I checked on every time I logged on. Good people, no fighting, lots of technical info and support.

I wonder if some one with a propencity towards ALL CAPS AND SHOOTING SQUILL WITH A 3006 had anything to do with it???? :banghead:
