I recently swapped for a unfired 78 model NIB one of these. It's not anymore as I'm a shooter not a collector. I've been looking online for a used or inexpensive leather holster but I'm not having any luck.

My question is what more common revolver could I use for reference when looking for holsters? I was guessing a Ruger single six but I don't have one to compare. My only other revolver right now is a K frame and that's no help. Any advice ya'll can offer is greatly appreciated.

I would think that the 676 would fit most holsters designed for the single six.

Are you looking for leather or Uncle Mikes?

...and get some photos of that 676 up here for us to see. My fist handgun was a 676 that I bought new in 1979...

Thanks for the reply, I'd rather have a western style leather holster. But I'd like to find an inexpensive one. If any owners current or prior had good luck with a particular holster I'd love to hear about it.

I'm really enjoying plinking with this little revolver. I just wish I had someplace to stow it without laying it down every time.

wkumatt,
Sorry I can't help you with a western style holster.
I do have a couple holsters for my convertible pieces.
They are Hunter brand.
They work well, but they are NOT western style.
I have a "few" H&R convertibles myself.
All but 1 are 1980 manufacture.
All but 2 have original box.
Here's a pic.
