Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-R) introduced the RETURN (Repealing Excise Tax on Unalienable Rights Now) our Constitutional Rights Act. The bill is named the “RETURN (Repealing Excise Tax on Unalienable Rights Now) our Constitutional Rights Act of 2022”. It would eliminate the excise tax on guns, ammunition, and archery tackle that fund Pittman-Robertson. He introduced the bill on June 22, 2022, with the support of 53 co-sponsors.
Please contact your representative, and tell them to leave one of the few pieces of legislation that works along.

I don't like taxes any more than the next guy but (maybe) this tax is a good thing. One party wants to tax everything possible for mostly unpopular programs AFAIC. Perhaps this tax does more good than harm as long as the funds can't be usurped for other programs.

This may be in response to some congress people who want to put exorbitant taxes on guns and ammo as a way to price them out of reach for citizens.

I agree the current tax is reasonable and is doing good work.
