I stood stumbled across a one today in pretty good shape, ser# D3030XX with round barrel and whith what looked like checkered wood grips. I guess they could have been plastic instead of wood, as I was just looking through the case.

Anyone have any idea of the value of the gun? The tag has $129 for it, but I bet I could get it for $90 to $100 range.

Many H&R revolvers have gone up in value depending on their desirability, configuration and condition. So the Blue Book can go out the window for a desirable model.

My 2003 Blue Book lists its values as:

100% - $85

98% - $70

95% - $60

$90% - $45

I don't believe these prices reflect all the current valuations, especially since this model was made from 1950-1982. Some are going to be worth more and some less, usually depending on condition and how old it is. Parts are also harder to find, so better ones will be more desirable.

Most sell for $100-$150 online. The 4" barreled ones seem to cost the most while those with 2" are the cheapest. 6" barrels are in the middle, usually. $129 is ok for a nice one. "D" serial numbers were made in 1944. I have a few and I like them very much.
