H&r 922

My friend just recently acquired a H&R Arms 922 reveolver with a 9 round capacity. This gun seems to be relatively old. The entire gun is brass plated and has been tarnished due to lack of proper care so it is hard for me to teel just how old it is. The serial number on the gun is N65293. The only other markings on the gun is the H&R lettering on the grip and the company name and p[lace of manufacture on the barrel. Can you shed any light onto when this gun was made and what the approximate value of the gun is. He is not interested in selling. Not because the gun has no value (we already looked it up). But because it is very fun to shoot and it was a present from his mother-in-law. He would just like to know more about it? Thank You.

They are kind of fun to shoot. I have one that appears to have been made just prior to WWII. Don't know how accurate the following is, but suggests it was made in 1953. Never heard of one finished in all brass.

check the safety

had same pistol that when dropped it discharged.

got rid of it but apparently there is a part behind the hammer that prevents hammer from striking the firing pin
