H&R Handi Rifle in 357 Max

I traded for one today, almost new, out the door for 200. It has the nice
checkered laminated stock and forend. I don't see these in the current offering from H&R. Anyone have any good loads or other comments?

thats because they've never offered them. what you got was a 357mag that was rechambered. which is what many owners did.

Member Nipprdog- I went out to the pickup and re-examined my rifle.
On the left rear of the barrel I see Model SB2 "Ultra"
Cal. 357 Rem. Max. P
the P is inside a circle. the serial # range is 292xxx.
Everything seems to be original factory stamping.
This is the first one I have seen. Thanks for the tip on the web-site.

and the first I've heard of. I stand corrected.

go to the FAQ page on that forum. the letters in your serial # will tell you what year rifle was made.
