H&R Huntsman question

There's currently an H&R Huntsman rifle on the auctionarms site, .45 caliber with a scope, current bid just over $100. Even though I'm a big fan of the more historically designed black powder guns, the Huntsman appeals to me and I think I might want to buy it.

What I need to know is if anybody has experience with the Huntsman model. How good is the quality of it and what's the most you'd pay for one?

Edit: I just found out that the one I'm looking at has the screw-in breech plug instead of the O-ring plug.

I had one for a brief period of time. I had to raise the nipple by shimming it with a thin washer to get a better firing pin strike so it would fire reliably.
Then I learned about the breech plug problem and since it didn't have a threaded plug, I took it back to the dealer where I bought it and traded it in.
I would consider getting an accessory ML barrel for my NEF shotgun, but I don't know if they are still available.

I had the same problem as Arcitcap.
The firing pin could not reach the cap, on a reliable basis. The breach plug is not threaded so shimming the nipple was the only way to get it to fire. Besides, it was never very accurate and I too got rid of it.

Also I had to always clean out the firing pin hole as soot would flow back thru it and foul out that area. If I did not clean it it would not work at all.

I have a .50 Huntsman with the threaded plug. I couldn't imagine a better gun for what I do. I shoot about 90 grains of triple 7 powder and a round ball. I'm sure it could handle more powder but in the woods down here you are not likely to get a shot so long to require more, especially with open sights. I love these NEF guns and I'd say the .45 is like the .50 I have in that you can add just about any centerfire rifle/shotgun barrel they make to it. I have a few of their guns and I think the quality is excellent especially considering the price, but what I like most is the simplicity of the design. There is just not a whole lot that can go wrong.
Mine has always been very accurate, of course my setup limits my range so I can't speak to using more modern loading supplies or a scope.
