i have a friend who has an h&r revolver, he dropped it on its hammer and broke it off so he tore it apart and is selling the parts. it has a cylinder that i have tried in my nef r92, it goes right on and mounts right up. i checked alignment with the barrel to chamber and its perfect. now the difference is his cylinder is a 22magnum, can i use this in my nef since everything lines up? also what about other 22lr h&r cylinders?, i can find lots of h&r's but not many nef's. thanks for any help.

Magnums are .224; LR are .222 diamter. You would be driving a higher-pressure, slightly fatter bullet down a barrel cut for lower-pressure .22 S/L/LR. It might work; it might not.

I wouldn't do it...just in case.

Yes, Ruger makes a "convertable" Single-Six, with both cylinders, but those barrels are bored for the larger .224 Magnum.
