Man Im seriously thinking on one. 223/ML/slug barrel and maybe a 17hmr.> Wiith that been said Im looking at about $600/$700 bucks for 4 different guns.

My best friend has 2. One is a .223, and he just bought his daughter (my God Daughter) a .243 for Christmas. He swears by them.

In Mississippi this year they are allowing single shot rifles with exposed hammers in calibers used before 1900 to be used for deer hunting in what was the black powder season. The H&R in 45-70 is in great demand

Same here in La. I ALMOST
bought one at Christmas time, Simmons Sports had them on sale for $229.00.

I've got a stainless and walnut .17 As was stated before, many a squirrel, crow, raccoon, chipmunk and possom have met their maker with this gun. Those tiny little balistic tips really pack a punch on small varmints.

Oh yeah, i killed a coyote with it last winter too. Mine is a touch on the heavy side with the bull barrel, but awfully accurate

I've been looking, but I can't seem to find prices. How much does the Buffalo Classic in .45-70 cost?

Mine was just $350 new about a year ago, I'm sure you could probably find one for that much or less. It does seem like the newer ones I have seen lately have had much lighter colored wood though.

I found 2 today one in a 20g and one in a 410 both of them were around $50. I thought about picking them up and ordering the 17hmr for ne and 223 for the other. Im gonna find out what the turn around time for the barrels will be and go from there.

I hate to rain on your parade

Again shotguns and or shotgun frames can not be fitted with rifle barrels.

as to the 17hmr, how do you intend to change the firing pin position from centerfire to rimfire

as to wait times Remington has had mine for almost 2 months now
