I recently bought this H&R Officers Model and I am waiting for my licence application to be processed before I can get it home.

I intend to set this up like the originals with an 1879 type rifle sight, available from Pedersoli, and a Beech type combination font sight.

The previous owner has replaced the tang sight by screwing it to the grip over the slot inlet for the H&R sight. While the original H&R tang sights were pretty basic, I understand that similar sights were fitted to the original Springfield Officers Models.

Does anyone know if a Pedersoli Officers Model tang sight will fit or is some additional inletting needed?

Dunno, they are probably going to be a bit different in the spacing.
As far as I know, the H&R guns are built on inch dimensions and the Pedersoli rifles are built on metric dimensions.

If you are ordering from Pedersoli direct, they also have the add on walnut pistol grip piece.

I have a Pedersoli Infantry Trapdoor that I am considering converting into a Gemmer type Sporting rifle.

If I ever get around to it, the Gemmer looks like a J.S. Hawken rifle but handles cartridges.

If you want a really good albeit very expensive tang sight, Google "Soule tang sight" and see what comes up.
