Science stuff.
It couldn't be 2.6, it had to be .26. Generally speaking:
.10 - Impaird/legally drunk.
.20 - Hammered
.30 - You're still standing? Speech slurred.
.40 - Not standing, probably unconscious.
.50 - Probably dead.
.60 - If not dead, you must have a heck of a tolerance. It's possible though, by maybe 0.1% of the population.
If you can get to a .30 and still be standing, you've got one heck of a tolerance built up and pretty much have a drinking problem.
I know somebody that had a .24 (heavy drinker, high tolerance) that had a tire blow out while taking the Field Sobriety tests. He didn't notice the loud bang. The cops hit the deck thinking they were being shot at.... him: unphased. Yes, he knows he shouldn't have been driving and admits it was a horribly horribly stupid thing to do. He learned from it.
Summary: .26 is pretty far up there. That's over 3 times the state limits being manded by the federal government.
