Got an invite to lob some bullets at a friends range. He was getting ready to leave for Colorado and wanted check his gun out to 500 yards. He shoots a B-14 Hunter in 7mm Rem Mag with 175gr. Nosler Partitions. We shot 300, 400, and 500 yards. Although his gun was shooting low, all of his groups were sub-MOA.
When he invited me to go I loaded my old load for my B-14 Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor. This is a starting load of H4350 pushing a 129gr Nosler Accubond LR. This load is really mild but it matches POI with the BDC marks in my Vortex. To make a long story short, I shot a three shot group measuring 2 3/4" with 2 of them in the black of a 3" bull at 500 yards. Not too shabby for a $700 rifle. I may have to get another one.
