I was on my way to the range yesterday, picked up the paper to read during a quick lunch.

A family trick or treating knocked on a door, gunfire answered. 29 shots from an AK47. One report said the boy was hit 13 times.

"Patrick has multiple convictions for possession with intent to distribute, is a felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm, police said." (The State Newspaper)

The guy's definitly going down for murder.

Thanks for the link Inspector, didn't realize there was a closed thread on it.

Mods, close this or leave it open. I haven't heard anything new yet on this, ongoing investigation.

I can't even imagine it happening. But then, when I read about some nutjob plowing over a bunch of people with his automobile in a crowd, I can't believe that either.

Being a convicted felon, the guy shouldn't even have had the gun to begin with.

Let's enforce the laws we have instead of creating more.

Shortly after the shooting, one of the house occupants was caught trying to sneak away with wads of cash. Especially in light of the prior drug convictions by the shooter, it's pretty safe to say that there were drugs involved in all of this.. Mr. Felon is worried about getting shaken down for profits or back debt or somesuchthing, maybe there's been some tension between him and his fellow ne'er-do-wells, and maybe he wasn't completely in the proper frame of mind. The net result is that he fired a full magazine thru the front door and walls without attempting to ID the source of the knockin'.

It's a dang shame, but this is not a gun thing as much as it is very likely a drug-related thing.

If someone was trying to sneak wads of cash away, it makes one wonder where the illegal drugs went (down the toilet, maybe?).

If there is a private septic system at that house, LE should open the tank and investigate.:uhoh:

It never ceases to amaze me how brazen and stupid these types are. The same thing happens in my neighborhood. You'd think a drug dealer would want to keep a low profile but they seem to always be causing trouble in the neighborhood and insist on being very rowdy and conspicuous.

Of Course I live in Snohomish County just outside of Seattle and the cops don't really seem to care. I've called them before about obvious drug activity and they just don't seem to care. What's wrong with law enforcement these days?

Sorry I'm getting off subject again.

Being a convicted felon, the guy shouldn't even have had the gun to begin with.

Just further proof of the failure of the 1968 GCA. Of course it will be spun as to show the need for even more restrictions that will not work. In the meantime the people that need to be controlled will continue to commit evil acts an given a wink and a nod from the law makers.
