Hand-Forged Knives and Swords

i am really impressed with the knives by Nick Wheeler. As does matt Lamey , and Rob Patton. Rob's blades just have a feel to them that cant be explained.
Also Mike & Audra Draper make some awesome forged blades. Audra is a female mastersmith :cool: and a real doll as well. And Mike is one of the finest people I have ever met.

forging is an art. I hope to be able to give it a try someday.
 
Many smiths give lessons at reasonable prices. It's more than worth the money considering how much time it saves learning from other people's mistakes. Get yourself to a hammer-in and meet the heat and beat crowd.

I trained with Larry Harley and Wes Byrd.
 
If you come in October for the pistol class you could go up to Larry's after. He could make the Bowie for you and you could then use it on the boar hunt. You could hang around for Ron Claiborn's hammer-in here in Knoxville and you might even pick up another hand forged knife. :evil:
