I have a guestion for everyone. I have a Smith and Wesson M&P 45, I shoot 230 gr lrn with 4.4 gr of titegroup. good and accurate at 20-25 feet. If I were to go to a lighter bullet weight say 200 or 185. will this increase the life of my pistol or not. I shoot around 200-250 rds once a month.

No.

If you barely have enough energy to cycle the slide, wear on the gun would not be less with a lighter bullet.

Heavy and/or +P loads will result in more wear with any bullet weight.
But there would no appreciable difference with your already very light starting load loads.

With that load it won't make a difference. You won't wear it out in your lifetime if cleaned and oiled from time to time, and just generally taken care of.

Target/light loads do make a firearm last longer. Guns do wear out. Break Free CLP on moving parts will make for a longer life.

IMHO Lack of maintenance has ruined more firearms than have been shot out for sure. Replacing worn stressed parts before being destroyed will lengthen the life of any firearm as will keeping the loads out of the +P range.
