Here are a couple of pictures of a gun case that a shooting buddy and good friend made for my model 14 k 38 that I recently purchased from semi auto-six string's collection listed here.

What is it lined with?
Real sheep wool with real lanolin still in it will provide the best protection over the long haul.

PS: But whatever it is, don't store the gun in it.

The gun is way better off out in open air where humidity cannot be held in close contact with the bluing.

I only transport the gun in that case
