I have a bushmaster QRC ar15. Looking at an upgraded handguard and want to see if anyone can shed some light on my unknown. Wanting to know if I can seamlessly switch out the factory handguard for this BCM.

Here is the rifle - https://www.bushmaster.com/firearms/xm-15-qrc/16-w-mini-red-dot

Here is the handguard I am looking at https://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM...-Handguard-p/bcm-kmr-a15-556-blk.htm?CartID=1

My question is in regard to the metal sling mount in the font of the handguard and if that is easily removeable to put in the new handguard.

Thanks in advance.

That gas block could be a problem. Three ways to go that I can think of right off.
Keep handguard short
Cut off sling mount
Replace gas block
Is block pined or set screws? Screws are easy, pins get a little more complicated.

I'm new to AR's but It should fit over the gas block if you cut off the sling swivel and bayonet lug. You'll have to remove the flash hider, then the gas block by driving out the pins with a hammer and punch, then slide the gas block and gas tube off the front, then remove the old barrel nut and the piece that holds on the original for end mount. Not tough to do if your reasonably mechanically inclined.

Get a bench block for the front sight/gasblock to drive out the pins. You do not want that moving on you when doing so and the bench block is designed to keep it steady.
