can I ship a handgun back to the mfg.,Ruger, for repair using a C&R ffl ? biker

You can ship a handgun to the manufacturer for repair with no FFL required at all (well, except that the manufacturer DOES have an FFL, to be legal). The manufacturer then returns the repaired gun, or a replacement, directly to your doorstep, wether or not you hold an FFL yourself.

In order to mail a handgun via USPS, both the sender and the recipient must have dealer or manufacturer's FFLs, however.

Just call Ruger, if it's them fixing it, they will usually send you a box.
