My favorite all-time handgun is a Bernardelli P.018. I got the P.One also and a P.018 Compact for my son. I've put a lotta rounds through a lotta guns over the decades, and the Bernardellis are the best!

The Benelli B-76 (9x19) is, IMHO, one of the best appearing handguns. It's a pain-in-the-ass to strip and clean, but it is a sweet shooter.

I bought a Colt Woodsman with 6" full under lug barrel in 1972. It had a fully adjustable rear sight. Too bad this was my first .22 cal. handgun as nothing since can equal it,IMHO. At the same time I had a Ruger #1,Mk1 with 6" barrel and extra wood stocks and fore-arm. The Ruger was very accurate and it looked and functioned great BUT it fell a little short of the Colt. I have had MANY handguns since and some have been exceptional but nothing touches the Woodsman! My Browning Buckmark comes close, though. Why,OH, Why did I get rid of it?!?!?

For me..

...

Either my, 1911's, Colt Defender 45 or my SA EMP 9mm..

Both are the easiest, fastest, point to aim, acuurate shooters for me.

Nice guns Ironsites, I'd never heard of Bernadelli handguns, though I think I've seen their shotguns before.

Looks to me like the slide on the second gun was the inspiration for the slide on the FNP.

Old Ironsights, those are great looking guns!.....I was just thinking of the P018 yesterday, thinking about how it seemed to be a very stout weapon, having a steel frame. I was remembering seeing them in the holsters of several different European countries security force/police officers way back in the '80's and thinking, "What a shame they didn't do better here in the States." In fact I have never seen one here, only in Europe.....Great guns & beautifully made! They shoot as well as the best of them!

My Colt that will put em all in one hole if I do my part. :D

That kind of gun "spoils" you, but it also makes it hard to appreciate inaccurate guns.

My old Springfield that has never failed to feed, fire, or eject with any mag or load.

That kind of gun will "spoil" you, but it will be hard to put up with guns that jam, even occasionally.

Old Ironsides

I had a Benelli B76, though mine was the fixed sight version. A beautifuly made gun, though I don't think I've ever seen one that was quite so over- engineered as this one was. There must have been at least a hundred little tiny parts in the breechblock assembly alone. That was one unusually designed 9mm. pistol.

I concur on the Woodsman quality. I've been through a Walther P22, Sig Mosquito, Beretta NEOS, S&W 622, and a Browning Buckmark (close but no cigar). There was this S&W K22 though...

jimmyraythomason, for nastalgia shake, here's a pic of mine that I bought in1968. Still as good as the day I first fondled it.

Mine would have to be my West German Sig P226 9mm.
I have a nice collection of handguns - all of which I really like, but lately I've been shooting mostly my P226.

First 1911 I ever shot was a Wilson Combat Tactical Elite. Now I won't get a 1911 until I can have a Wilson. Totally spoiled me right from the get-go.
