Just got back from the range after firing a bunch of 158 gr Blazer 357 from my GP100 (4" stainless, Wolff spring kit). Mostly double action. It was still warm from shooting when I got home.

I told my wife there is something soothing about shooting a quality revolver. Kinda like comfort food - filling and satisfying. Gives me the same feeling as shooting a quality bolt action rifle.

I shot a 4" 586 and a 6" Trooper Mk III today.

Yep, it was quite satisfying. :)

I put 100 rounds through a Model 18, and 50 rounds split between a Model 10 and a Model 15. No fear of jams, spring set, lack of lube, limp wristing, etc. The guy with the brand-new FN .45 was very complimentary of my 30+ year- old S&Ws.

lopaka - Yup, I know the feeling! :D

I was at the range yesterday with my two favorite revolvers.
A 4" S&w M10-5 & a 5 1/2" Uberti SAA in 45 Colt.

Those two are the most accurate handguns I own.

I figured I wasn't the only one that put a premium on the experience.

You guys with the old S&W's have me drooling. The Model 18 is on my short list.

Absolutely everyone should have atleast one S&W Model 10.
I think that gun, above all others, is S&W's Holy Grail.

I didn't buy it new (heck I was 6 or 7 when it was made.
Supposedly it belonged to a LEO in Milwaukee.

I paid through the nose for it, but it's well worth it.

I have a preference for revolvers too. Here are some of mine.

S&W Model 317 Airlite .22
