I love my Mossberg 835 with a 20" barrel, Primos Jelly Head choke, Simms recoil pad, Tru-Glo pro series magnum gobble dot sights, shooting 3.5" 2.25 oz #6 Hevi-13s. What guns do you like for turkey hunting?

Nice bird. And Happies back.

Frankenstein, though I've yet to take a strutter with it.

I have a Mossberg 500 Turkey Special, that has become my favorite, for close range work. It has a 20" barrel and has a 3" chammber. I had to install a Simms recoil butt plate, to take some of the bite out of it.

The choke tube that it came with was (doing special) at the .740" restricton. However, it didn't impress me with heavier/larger shot sizes, for coyotes. Therefore, I purchased a Carlson's .680" non-ported and have been very satisfied with the tight patterns it produces...out to 60 yds.

I used to use my 870 Express but those 28" barrels make it heavy and hard to swing if you're set up in a tight spot. Still love the gun though. Nice birds.

Browning Gold NWTF edition with invector extra full choke , Winchester Supreme 3 1/2 turkey loads killed several birds 50 yards out.

I've never been turkey hunting, but I have a 28" Browning BPS 12ga; that'll be the gun. I'd also like to try it with a CZ 452 and take a headshot.

Mossberg 500 12 ga, 3", 20" barrel, fiber optic sights and a nice soft recoil pad. Light, handy and effective.
