Sure would like to - but - the inevitable 'but''! Too much going on - cost of gas in my gas-guzzler - and in truth - it is time I desisted from temptation, tho always good to stock up on ammo.

Should I change my mind, will post again. You going I assume - Saturday? Time of day - just useful to know for any other folks who might make it.

I'm driving down from NY on Friday, staying over and will be going in as soon as they open the doors (9am?).

I have to be home by around 6pm, so I hope to be out of there by around noon. Bringing handtruck to cart a few cases of ammo.

Hmmm well, you wouldn't find me there that early! :p

It'd take me approx coupla hours all told to get to front door so - be mid morning. Anyways still very unlikely but should it happen will get in touch to fix a meet.

Of course another option - you buy my ammo too (oh, I'd reimburse you of course!) - and you drive out West here to deliver. At which point we go to range and shoot some!!! So - you get home a day late - no biggie! :p :D :D

Well, the reason for getting home is to have dinner with my 79 year old mother and father. Kinda can't blow that off. But thanks anyway. I'm already buying a case of 556 for a buddy. Just pray I don't get stopped in Jersey on the way home! :uhoh:

In that case Sir - you are excused ammo-delivery duties! Nothing is more important than that meal with the folks. Mine are gone and I can (thankfully) think back to such events - with enormous pleasure. It is well worth it - more than we often know.

Have a great day. :)

Was at the Harriburg show yesterday. Good size show. Not to much in the way of "chochkies" and chinese junk, other than cheap guns. Not to many cheap guns though. I actually had some luck there, getting a new spring for my 1911(fixed up ftf problems perfectly),nice grips for a smith I needed, and picked up a couple of shooter grade sks's. It was worth the drive, I was going to skip it but my wife talked me into it. Good wife. She got a small diamond ring. She did fairly well also. Lots of good stuff. Glad I went. Will check out next show in Scranton area, Seen same vendors at the Harrisburg show as in last years Scranton show. Prices were cheaper in Harrisburg. Will have fun in Scranton, messing with same vendors.
good shootin
kid
PS. I didn't think there was any good deals on ammo, othe than some cheaper .45acp Wolf for $7. The rest was either garbage looking or expensive. For the price I'd rather make my local gun shop owners food bill.

P95: I posted over on arfcom--under "Pennsylvania" in the "Hometown" section. Got most of what I was looking for, some ammo, parts, another holster, mags, etc. The thing is the county I live in has pretty much chased out the gun shows. Democrat County Supervisor, or whatever his title is. Used to have a pretty good sized show in a county owned venue, but they (the county) turned up their nose at hosting gun shows (horrors!) in county owned property. So the one at Yonkers Raceway was pulled as well. Ok, then there was a good sized one up near Danbury CT, at a college. College admin. deep sixed that a few years ago. So there are no decent sized shows close by. The best we get is in Rockland County in Middletown. That's a good 45 minute/hour ride from me.

So. . it's off to Harrisburg I go. I also know and like that town very much. Worked on a project there from Sept. '96 to April '97, driving down EVERY WEEK and staying one or two nights. Has a lot of very cool old buildings and architecture--still alot of charm that hasn't been gentrified yet. Plus several good resturants/bars, pretty river views, cool AAA baseball team you can watch for like, $8, you can drive to an Appalachin trailhead in 30 minutes from downtown, and nice people. Downside: in the 8 months I worked there I saw almost no good looking women. Not that I could do anything about it if I did---I'm happily married, ---I'm just sayin. . . However, I have to say the waitress who served me lunch in Dukes, and the one who served me dinner at Garrosan's were both quite cute. Maybe my complaints were heard and work is being done to rectify the situation. And so there is progress. . .
