These have been out since Jan, the prices are coming down as they scale production. Does anyone have any experiences/reviews/etc?

Mike

Don't be discouraged if this sinks to the bottom with few bites. Those that opt to go this route are usually those who like to keep their builds under wraps as they know the laws of today may not be the laws of tomorrow.

I, for one, have not had any personal experience with such a thing....

The few things I've heard of those pursuing these project have obtained various degrees of success.

Hey Mike.

I too was looking at this thing but lost interest when I discovered the rear rails were formed from polymer. I have no problems trusting a properly-designed polymer receiver to house a fire control group and retain an upper but I have no faith in it as a bearing surface.

I haven't even heard of these before. Awesome! I have done an 80% AR before and I was successful, so I really have to check this out. It looks way easier.

Sorry Mike, I am of no help at all. But I am also curious if anyone else has tried these yet and what their experience was like.

They piqued my interest, but I too don't have any experience other than hearing about the rails being polymer. Being essentially just a molded piece of plastic I'd be interested if it were cheaper but the price is a little too high for me.

I personally don't have any problems with buying a standard firearms so the 80% aspect doesn't really interest me aside from being a neat project to experiment with.

It is not cheaper FYI. I just bought a few Glock frames new and complete for an average of $215 ea. New black G3 17 frames can be had for under $200.

They are (the same), other than the ejector. Technically they start as something specific even though you can go a different way with it. My grey gen 4 G17 came with the factory box and it says G17 Gen 4 Frame, grey. A .40 ejector would make it a 22 etc. and of course whatever top end you want.
